Adnan Virk was born on July 29, 1978, in Toronto, Ontario, before growing up near Kingston, where his family operated a local convenience store and gas station. He developed an early interest in broadcasting and later graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University) with a degree in radio and television arts. Virk began his media career in 1998 as an associate producer at TSN before moving into on-air broadcasting.

After seven years hosting at The Score, Virk joined ESPN in 2010. He became a familiar face on Baseball Tonight, SportsCenter, and Outside the Lines while also covering college football, college basketball, Major League Baseball, and the College World Series. In 2019, he joined MLB Network and DAZN after leaving ESPN. He later added NHL Network duties while continuing to expand his baseball coverage.

Today, Virk co-hosts MLB Tonight and appears regularly across MLB Network’s studio programming. He also hosts NHL Network studio coverage and remains active as a writer and podcaster. Beyond sports, he has interviewed acclaimed actors and filmmakers through Cinephile, reflecting his longstanding interest in cinema alongside his broadcasting career.
