MLB Now is a daily studio show on MLB Network devoted to baseball analytics and statistical trends. It launched in 2013 as a year-round expansion of Clubhouse Confidential, an offseason program the network had aired since 2011. The show broadcasts from Studio 21 at MLB Network’s Secaucus, New Jersey headquarters. It has since become one of the network’s signature panel programs.
The show runs as a live, one-hour panel discussion on weekdays. Special editions have aired in an expanded 90-minute format. Signature segments include Digging In, Baseball-y Plays of the Day, and Managerial Check. The program leans heavily on sabermetric analysis, examining how data-driven decisions are reshaping strategy across the league.
Brian Kenny has hosted MLB Now since its 2013 launch, building on his earlier stint hosting Clubhouse Confidential. Regular panelists have included Joel Sherman, Jon Heyman, Ron Darling, and Dan O’Dowd. The panel also features current and former players and managers. In 2019, the show earned a National Sports Emmy nomination for its postseason coverage.
Bob Costas and Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo have made recurring guest appearances on the program over the years. In May 2024, during Kenny’s twelfth season as host, the two joined him at the desk for the first time. It marked a special all-star edition of the show. Kenny also hosts MLB Network’s flagship show, MLB Tonight, and the offseason series Top 10 Right Now.
