Kitchen Undercover

Chef Antonia Lofaso and sous-chef Nestor Milian go undercover to expose and rescue restaurants on the brink of collapse.

Kitchen Undercover is a high-stakes, sneak-attack restaurant rescue series that premiered on Food Network on July 28, 2026. It is one of four all-new series Food Network launched in July 2026, alongside Kitchen Chaos, Pitmasters, and Restaurant Impossible: Last Call. New episodes air weekly on Tuesdays, with each episode streaming the following day on Max and Discovery+.

The show follows chef Antonia Lofaso and sous-chef Nestor Milian as they target failing restaurants close to total collapse. Nestor embeds with each restaurant’s staff undercover, uncovering toxic team dynamics, operational failures, and kitchen problems from the inside. Meanwhile, Antonia monitors everything from a secret command center, watching every meltdown and questionable choice before stepping in.

Season 1 consists of at least five episodes, covering a range of struggling restaurants. These include a Southern comfort food diner, a brewery, an Italian restaurant, a steakhouse, and a San Pedro eatery. The format differs from other restaurant rescue shows in its covert approach — owners and staff do not know they are being observed until Lofaso arrives.

Lofaso is a veteran Food Network personality, having appeared on Top Chef, Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Restaurant Startup. She also owns three Los Angeles restaurants: Black Market Liquor Bar, Scopa Italian Roots, and DAMA. Nestor Milian is a seasoned chef and culinary professional who serves as Lofaso’s on-the-ground partner throughout each rescue mission.
