Antonia Lofaso was born on November 23, 1976, in Long Island, New York. She developed a passion for cooking while growing up in an Italian family with deep restaurant roots. Lofaso trained at the French Culinary Institute, now the International Culinary Center, before moving to Los Angeles. She refined her skills in respected kitchens, including Spago, before launching her own restaurant career.
Lofaso gained national attention as a contestant on Top Chef: Chicago before building a long-running Food Network career. She became a familiar face on Cutthroat Kitchen, Chopped, Tournament of Champions, Worst Cooks in America, Beachside Brawl, and Wildcard Kitchen. In 2025, she won Tournament of Champions VI, further cementing her reputation as one of television’s top competitive chefs.
In July 2026, Lofaso expanded her hosting career with Food Network’s Kitchen Undercover.
