Fútbol W

ESPN’s weekly women’s soccer studio show covering the NWSL, USWNT, Liga MX Femenil, and top players across the Americas.

Fútbol W is a dedicated women’s soccer show that airs weekly on ESPN digital platforms, with special editions on ESPN2. ESPN announced the show as its “signature news and analysis studio program” for women’s soccer — the first dedicated women’s soccer show in the network’s history. Its launch came just days before the U.S. Women’s National Team kicked off its 2024 Olympic campaign, timed to capitalize on surging interest in women’s sports.

The show delivers a steady mix of match highlights, tactical analysis, and news updates. The hosts focus their discussions on the National Women’s Soccer League, Liga MX Femenil, and the U.S. Women’s National Team. Furthermore, the episodes track international players from the CONCACAF region who are currently playing in European leagues. The show also explores off-field topics, including player fashion, lifestyle trends, and community impact.

Fútbol W is co-hosted by Ali Krieger, a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion with the U.S. Women’s National Team. She co-hosted the show alongside veteran ESPN presenter Sebastian Salazar at its launch. However, Salazar departed his regular role on the program in December 2024, with Cristina Alexander taking over his role.

Besides the host, the show also features regular contributors from ESPN reporters and analysts, including Lianne Sanderson, Jeff Kassouf, Jenn Hildreth, Natalia Astrain, Alexis Nunes, and Julia Headley, among others. The show also features guest appearances from former players, like USWNT stars Crystal Dunn, Christen Press, and Tobin Heath.
