Kevin Connors grew up in Rockville Centre, New York, where he developed a passion for sports and broadcasting. He attended Ithaca College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in television-radio while playing four seasons on the school’s men’s basketball team. He began his broadcasting career at WRNN-TV, serving as both sports anchor and sports director before moving to New York City’s highly competitive media market.

Connors joined ESPN in July 2008 after working for WCBS-TV and WCBS NewsRadio 880. He initially anchored ESPNEWS before becoming a regular host of SportsCenter. His responsibilities expanded to include Baseball Tonight, college football, college basketball, Major League Baseball studio coverage, and play-by-play assignments. He also hosted NBA Tonight, NBA Coast-to-Coast, Top Rank Boxing, and numerous ESPN Radio programs.

Known for his calm presentation and versatility, Connors has become a dependable presence across ESPN’s year-round programming. He continues anchoring nightly editions of SportsCenter while hosting studio coverage for college football, college basketball, and Major League Baseball. Earlier in his career, he earned five New York State Broadcasters Association Awards for Outstanding Sportscast, recognizing his excellence in local sports journalism before joining ESPN.
