Cassidy Hubbarth was born on September 19, 1984, in Evanston, Illinois. She attended Evanston Township High School, where she competed in three sports all four years. Notably, she was on the soccer team that won the 2002 ETHS state championship and served as sports editor of her school newspaper. She attended the University of Illinois before transferring to Northwestern University, graduating from the Medill School of Journalism in 2007. 

Hubbarth began her career as a traffic reporter and producer for WMAQ-TV in Chicago. She then worked at Intersport and the Big Ten Network before joining ESPN in 2010 as a studio host. She initially covered college football, college basketball, and NBA programming for the network. She then became a full-time anchor in 2013 and hosted NBA Tonight, SportsCenter, Highlight Express, SportsNation, and College Football Live. 

During her tenure on ESPN, Cassiday Hubbarth also served as a lead NBA sideline reporter, covering regular-season games, the NBA Playoffs, the NBA Finals, and the NBA Draft. After 15 years with ESPN, she left the network in 2025 before joining Prime Video as part of its NBA broadcast team. She continues covering the NBA as a host and reporter while expanding her role across Prime Video’s basketball coverage.
