Kate Scott was born Kate Giles in Manchester, England, on September 8, 1981. She moved to Spain at 17 to learn Spanish and later studied European languages at the University of Salford. She also studied translation and interpreting at the University of Málaga. Her broadcasting career began in 2005 with an internship at Deutsche Welle in Germany.
Scott has anchored CBS Sports‘ UEFA Champions League Today since August 2020. She works alongside analysts Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards. She also hosts Kickin’ It, a one-on-one interview show she launched with the network in 2023. The show sees her sit down with soccer’s biggest names. In January 2026, she joined UFC’s broadcast team on Paramount+ for the promotion’s debut event.
Before joining CBS, Scott worked at CNN and at Sky Sport News in Germany. At Sky Sports in the UK, she covered pay-per-view boxing and transfer deadline day. A loan spell brought her to Fox Sports in 2015 to host Women’s World Cup coverage. That role turned permanent, and she later hosted the FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony multiple times.
