Charlie Davies was born on June 25, 1986, in Manchester, New Hampshire. He played college soccer at Boston College, where he earned first-team All-American honors in 2006 and was named ACC Offensive Player of the Year. Davies began his professional career with Sweden’s Hammarby IF in 2007 before later playing for Sochaux, Randers, D.C. United, New England Revolution, and Philadelphia Union.

Davies earned 17 senior caps for the United States and scored four international goals. He was part of the U.S. squad at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and represented the country at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A serious car accident in October 2009 led to major injuries and interrupted his career. However, he eventually returned to professional soccer and was a finalist for MLS Comeback Player of the Year in 2011 and 2014.

After retiring in 2017, Davies moved into soccer broadcasting. He became a regular CBS Sports analyst and currently contributes to Concacaf, Serie A, and Morning Footy, which CBS describes as a weekday show led by Davies, Nico Cantor, and Alexis Guerreros. Davies also serves as a co-host on  Kickin’ It, an interview program launched on CBS Sports Golazo Network in 2023,  alongside Kate Scott, Charlie Davis, Clint Dempsey, and Maurice Edu.
