Nico Cantor was born on October 25, 1993, and raised in Miami, Florida. His father is Argentine soccer broadcaster Andrés Cantor, and his mother is Honduran lactation consultant Liliana Williams. He attended Ransom Everglades School, where he played volleyball and was an All-County goalkeeper in soccer. Cantor then studied broadcast journalism and romance languages at New York University, graduating in 2016.

After college, he began his broadcasting career at his father’s Fútbol de Primera radio station. He then joined rival network Univision Deportes, now known as TUDN. There he worked as a studio analyst and U.S. men’s national team reporter. He provided both English and Spanish coverage of MLS and Liga MX matches before joining CBS Sports in October 2020.

Nico Cantor relocated briefly to London to help launch CBS Sports’ UEFA competition coverage. He now hosts the network’s live whip-around program, The Golazo Show, covering the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. He also serves as a regular analyst on Morning Footy and a reporter for CBS’s CONCACAF coverage. Additionally, he calls matches in Spanish for the Fútbol de Primera radio show, most recently during the 2022 World Cup.
