Elle Duncan was born on April 12, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Clark and Toni Duncan. She attended the University of West Georgia before beginning her broadcasting career in 2003 as an entertainment reporter at Atlanta’s 790 The Zone. In 2005, she became an on-air personality at Atlanta hip-hop station V-103, co-hosting football shows for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network from 2010 to 2011. She also served as a sideline reporter for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.

Duncan expanded her media presence through roles at NBC’s Atlanta affiliate WXIA-TV, Comcast Sports South, and the New England Sports Network in Boston. She then joined ESPN as a SportsCenter anchor in 2016, anchoring the 6 p.m. edition and becoming one of the network’s leading voices in WNBA coverage alongside Malika Andrews and Chiney Ogwumike.

Duncan made her final ESPN appearance on December 17, 2025, and Netflix announced her signing the following day. Her multi-year deal with Netflix includes anchoring studio coverage for major live sporting events. In January 2026, Sports Business Journal reported she would also serve as studio host for USA Network’s inaugural WNBA coverage, alongside Renee Montgomery, beginning with the 2026 WNBA season.
