Christine Williamson was born on August 10, 1987, in Tampa, Florida, to parents Darryl and Julie Williamson. She earned a volleyball scholarship to the University of Miami, where she competed on the team and studied broadcast journalism. She later earned a Master’s degree in Communication, Technology and Society from Clemson University.

Williamson worked as a digital media contributor for the Denver Broncos, as a host and reporter for the Big 12 Network, and with Fox Sports. She then joined ESPN in October 2019, initially building her presence across the network’s digital platforms, hosting SC on Snap, Hoop Streams, Rankings Reaction, Countdown to GameDay, The Wrap-Up, and The Heisman Show. Her versatility across football, basketball, and college sports coverage steadily expanded her on-air profile at the network.

In December 2025, ESPN elevated Williamson to co-anchor of the 6 p.m. SportsCenter alongside Kevin Negandhi. She was also named the network’s lead host for women’s college basketball coverage, including the Women’s College GameDay franchise through the 2026 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Phoenix, Arizona. The promotion marked one of the most significant expansions of her role since joining the network in 2019.
