Jenny Chiu was born on September 25, 1995, in El Paso, Texas, to a Chinese father and Mexican mother. She played youth international soccer for Mexico and represented the country at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. She later played college soccer at the University of North Carolina while studying journalism.

Chiu began developing her broadcasting career through digital content, including an internship with the Portland Timbers. She joined Orlando City SC’s broadcast team in 2018 as a sideline reporter and digital host, later earning a Suncoast Regional Emmy for her production work on Bleed Purple. CBS Sports hired her in 2020, initially assigning her to UEFA Champions League coverage.

Her CBS Sports role expanded with the launch of CBS Sports Golazo Network in 2023. She has reported on the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Concacaf and NWSL, while hosting Attacking Third and Scoreline. In 2026, Chiu became the host of FIFA’s 16-part Stories From The Cities, exploring the football culture of cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
