100 Cooks is a high-stakes culinary competition series that premiered on Food Network on June 7, 2026. The show also airs on Nick DiGiovanni’s YouTube channel, in addition to streaming on discovery+ and HBO Max. It is billed as Food Network’s biggest home cook competition in its history.
The show welcomes 100 of the country’s best home cooks for a seven-week culinary gauntlet. Across the season, 99 cooks are eliminated, leaving one to be named America’s best home cook and win up to $250,000. Contestants include everyday people from all walks of life, including firefighters, lawyers, students, and stay-at-home parents.
Matchups are determined randomly using a lottery-ball-style “Cook Mixer,” while challenges are selected by a “Challenge Mixer.” The premiere episode features 50 cooks competing in challenges like a noodle dish battle, a rotisserie chicken face-off, an egg challenge, and a best party bite competition. Later episodes include food trivia contests, bake sale bake-offs, spicy weeknight dinner battles, and one-pot cooking challenges. The season finale, on the other hand, features the final eight cooks competing through breakfast, lunch, and dinner challenges.
The show is hosted by actor, TV personality, and former NFL player Terry Crews. He is joined at the judges’ table by culinary creator Nick DiGiovanni and Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli. Crews described the format as the kind of competition he “lives for,” citing its big energy and high stakes. As a brand-new series, 100 Cooks represents one of Food Network’s most ambitious competition formats to date.
