Kevin Negandhi was born on March 20, 1975, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, to Indian immigrants. He attended Temple University, where he also served as sports editor of the Temple News and play-by-play voice of the Owls’ women’s basketball team. He later became an inductee of Temple’s Klein College of Media and Communication Hall of Fame.

Negandhi began his professional career as a sports anchor at KTVO-TV in Kirksville, Missouri and  WWSB-TV in Sarasota, Florida. He joined ESPN in 2006 as an ESPNews anchor, becoming the first Indian-American to anchor a national sports network. Over the next two decades, he hosted NFL Live, Baseball Tonight, Outside the Lines, College Football Live, and NBA Tonight. He has also hosted the Women’s NCAA Basketball Final Four, the NBA Draft on ABC, and the Special Olympics World Games since 2015.

Today, Negandhi co-anchors the 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter. He also serves as studio host of ESPN’s College Football on ABC, a role he has held since 2017. In January 2026, the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association honored him with the Bill Campbell Award for Excellence in Broadcasting.
