Karthi Gnanasegaram is a British sports and classical-music broadcaster whose career spans more than a decade across the BBC, Sky Sports, Classic FM, Amazon Prime Video and Premier League Productions.

She began as a reporter for outlets including BBC London News, Liquid News, and Al Jazeera English’s StreetFood, before returning to the BBC.

 Karthi has been part of the BBC’s presenting team at four Olympic Games — London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 (the latter via TNT Sports) — and reports regularly on Wimbledon, Match of the Day, Football Focus and BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

In 2017 she became only the second woman to read the classified football results on Sports Report.

Since 2023 she has been a reporter for the Sky Sports Tennis channel, covering events including the US Open, ATP and WTA Tours, and serves as an on-court interviewer at Wimbledon, Queen’s, Eastbourne and the Dubai Tennis Championships. She also presents “Perfect Pitch” on Classic FM, exploring the crossover between sport and classical music.
