Spy Games is a Bravo show that offers a modern tactical twist to the reality competition genre. The series was inspired by “Station S,” a secret World War II government program that assessed and trained civilians for intelligence missions. Produced by Kinetic Content, the show blended physical stunts with the psychological and strategic demands of undercover work, appealing to fans of both action and social strategy.
The show followed contestants living in a specialized compound as they attempted to gather intelligence on their fellow players. Each episode featured “missions” designed to test fundamental spy skills, such as surveillance, lock-picking, and high-pressure interrogation. Success in these challenges gave competitors valuable advantages, including confidential information that could be used to sabotage rivals or avoid elimination by the expert panel.
Spy Games aired for one season only, concluding its eight-episode run in March 2020. While the show garnered attention for its unique premise and high production values, it was not renewed for subsequent seasons on Bravo. The complete series is currently available for streaming on Peacock, where it continues to reach audiences interested in the technical and competitive aspects of espionage.
The program was hosted by model and martial artist Mia Kang, who served as the primary guide for the contestants throughout their training. She was supported by three “assessors” with extensive backgrounds in real-world intelligence: Douglas Laux, a former undercover CIA officer; Evy Poumpouras, a former Secret Service agent; and Erroll Southers, a former FBI special agent. This panel evaluated the contestants’ progress and determined which players were fit for the field and which would be eliminated each week.
