NFL Total Access was a sports news and analysis television program produced by NFL Network. The show premiered on November 4, 2003, shortly after the launch of NFL Network itself. It served as the network’s flagship daily studio program and provided year-round coverage of the National Football League. The series officially ended in 2024 following restructuring and layoffs within NFL Media.
The program focused on NFL highlights, breaking news, game previews, player interviews, insider reporting, and expert analysis. Episodes regularly covered roster moves, injuries, playoff races, coaching changes, and offseason developments. In addition, the show expanded its coverage during major league events such as the Super Bowl, NFL Draft, free agency, and the scouting combine. Former players, reporters, and league insiders frequently contributed analysis and commentary.
Over the years, NFL Total Access underwent several format and scheduling changes. Earlier versions emphasized nightly highlights and news recaps, while later editions adopted more discussion-driven and personality-focused segments. The show also shifted between live nightly broadcasts and seasonal formats depending on the NFL Network’s programming strategy. Despite these changes, it remained one of the network’s most recognizable original productions.
Kimmi Chex and Mike Yam served as the final primary hosts during the 2024 season. They were joined by lead analysts like David Carr, Michael Robinson, and Chase Daniel. However, the show featured many other prominent voices over its long history, including top personalities like Rich Eisen, Lindsay Rhodes, Scott Hanson, Bill Patrick, Fran Charles, Alex Flanagan, Kara Henderson, Derrin Horton, Spero Dedes, and Paul Burmeister.
