Celebrity Family Feud is a celebrity spin-off of the long-running game show Family Feud. The original version premiered on NBC in 2008, before ABC revived the show in 2015. The ABC revival has become part of the network’s recurring summer game-show programming and remains on the schedule.
The program uses the basic Family Feud format. However, it replaces ordinary contestant families with celebrity teams, which often include friends, relatives, and fellow stars. Two teams compete to identify the most popular answers to survey questions posed to 100 people. The winning teams can earn money for a charity of their choice, adding a philanthropic element to the celebrity competition.
The original NBC edition lasted for six episodes during the summer of 2008 and was hosted by Al Roker. After that version ended, ABC revived the concept in 2015 with Steve Harvey as host. The ABC version has continued through multiple seasons, with the format remaining centered on celebrity teams, survey answers, family dynamics, and comedy.
Steve Harvey has hosted the ABC version since its premiere in 2015. He also hosts the syndicated Family Feud, which he began presenting in 2010. The program has featured celebrities from entertainment, sports, music, television, and other fields. As of 2026, Celebrity Family Feud had reached its 12th season on ABC, with the season premiering on July 9, 2026.
