Bill Pidto was born April 20, 1965, and raised in Palo Alto, California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Cornell University in 1987 and began his broadcasting career as a color analyst for Cornell sports on WHCU-AM radio in Ithaca, New York. He then worked as a sports anchor and director at stations in Binghamton and Syracuse.

Pidto joined ESPN in 1993 when ESPN2 launched, initially anchoring SportsSmash. He later hosted NHL 2Night and anchored SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight, and NFL Primetime, among other national programs. He left ESPN in 2008 after 15 years and joined SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio, where he co-hosted The B-Team with Bruce Murray. 

After leaving ESPN, Pidto worked for NHL Network, where he hosted NHL Live and other programs. He also joined MSG Networks, and he has hosted New York Knicks telecasts and Rangers road games since 2009. Additionally,  he hosts the network’s signature highlight segment, MSG 150, and has also anchored an expanded weeknight talk-show version of it.
