All Access

A spin-off of Access Hollywood delivering long-form true crime and human interest stories.

All Access is a spin-off of the long-running syndicated entertainment news program Access Hollywood. It premiered in 2019 alongside Access Hollywood’s 24th season. While its parent show focused on celebrity headlines and entertainment news, the show carved out a distinct identity by delving deeper into true-crime stories and human-interest features.

The show aired in half-hour episodes, each one devoted to one or two stories rather than the rapid-fire headline format of Access Hollywood. True crime segments featured expert analysis from law enforcement professionals and legal commentators, while human interest stories highlighted everyday people making a difference in their communities. The longer format gave each story room to breathe in a way the flagship show’s pace did not.

The series was hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, and Scott Evans, with Zuri Hall and Sibley Scoles as correspondents and co-hosts. It also featured a roster of experts, including Cheryl Arutt, a psychological expert; Judy Ho, a clinical and forensic psychologist; and Melissa Chataigne, a style expert.

The series ran until 2021, when NBCUniversal announced its cancellation; the final episode aired in June 2021. Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans, Zuri Hall, and Sibley Scoles continued with their roles on Access Hollywood and Access Daily following the cancellation.
