Fox News Sunday is an American Sunday morning political talk show that premiered on April 28, 1996. It airs on the FOX broadcast network and is presented by Fox News Media, making it the only regularly scheduled Fox News-produced program carried on the FOX broadcast network. The show, created by Roger Ailes, has become one of the longest-running Sunday public affairs programs on American television.
Each episode features exclusive interviews with leading political figures, government officials, lawmakers, business leaders, and international newsmakers. The program also includes a roundtable panel where journalists, analysts, and political commentators debate the week’s biggest stories. In addition, the show regularly concludes with the “Power Player of the Week” segment, highlighting individuals making a positive impact outside the political arena.
Tony Snow launched the program and hosted it from 1996 to 2003. He then departed to serve as White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush. Following Snow’s departure, Chris Wallace took over, building a reputation for prosecutorial questioning that defined the show for nearly two decades. He hosted the show until 2021, before moving to CNN to host the interview program, Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?
Fox News Sunday initially featured a rotating roster of guest hosts following Wallace’s departure. Then, in August 2022, Fox appointed Shannon Bream as the permanent anchor, making her the first woman to ever hold this role in the show’s history. Bream has hosted the program since 2022, while also serving as Fox News’ Chief Legal Correspondent.
