Shannon Bream was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on December 23, 1970. She attended North Florida Christian High School and, later, Liberty University, where she won the Miss Virginia pageant. She later received a Juris Doctor degree and practiced law in Tampa before deciding to pursue a career in television journalism.
Bream worked in local television news in Florida, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C., before joining Fox News in 2007. Her legal background made her a natural fit for covering the Supreme Court, where she reported on landmark constitutional cases and major judicial appointments. She later anchored Fox News @ Night, establishing the program as a respected source of political and legal news.
In 2022, Bream succeeded Chris Wallace as the anchor of Fox News Sunday, becoming the program’s first female permanent host. Beyond her hosting career, she has authored books, including The Women of the Bible Speak and The Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak. She also hosts the Livin’ the Bream podcast, where she discusses faith, culture, and current affairs with a wide range of guests.
