Sarah Tiana was born in Hayward, California, and moved to Calhoun, Georgia, at age five when her mother relocated for work. She attended Gordon Central High School, then enrolled at the University of Georgia before transferring to Georgia State University. She also studied at the Sorbonne and Commedia Dell’arte in Paris in the summer of 1999.

After graduating, Tiana moved to Los Angeles, working as a waitress before starting stand-up comedy in 2003 on a dare. She gained TV recognition with a recurring role as Carmen on Reno 911! and became a regular on Comedy Central’s @Midnight and Chelsea Lately on E!. In 2016, she was a finalist in the debut season of Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. Tiana has also completed over a dozen USO tours, performing comedy for U.S. troops worldwide. 

Currently, Sarah Tiana co-hosts Women’s Sports Now, which launched on Roku in March 2025 and moved to ESPN in April 2026. Her unique blend of comedy, football expertise, and genuine sports fandom makes her a distinctive voice on the show. She also co-hosts the Southern comedy podcast Fried with Jon Reep and the sports comedy podcast Riggle’s Picks with Daily Show alumnus Rob Riggle.
