Suzy Shuster

Profile Overview

Suzy Shuster grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, where she attended the Winsor School and, later, Columbia University. She began her broadcast career as an intern covering the 1994 NCAA Final Four for CBS. She followed this with a stint as a field producer at Fox News covering the 1996 presidential election and breaking news. From there, she joined ESPN as an associate producer for SportsCenter in 1997, then moved to HBO, where she produced Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.

In 2000, Shuster joined Fox Sports Net West as a reporter and anchor, covering the NBA. In 2003, she transitioned to ABC Sports as a college football sideline reporter. She also covered NBA playoff coverage for TNT, and later became the first woman to host an NCAA College Football pregame radio show – hosting the USC Trojans’ broadcast from 2003 to 2009.

Currently, Shuster co-hosts and executive produces Women’s Sports Now, a weekly series celebrating female athletes. The show launched on Roku in March 2025 before moving to ESPN in April 2026. She is also the official fill-in host of The Rich Eisen Show and co-hosts the NFL podcast What the Football with Suzy Shuster and Amy Trask each football season.
