Jason McCourty was born on August 13, 1987, in Nyack, New York. He attended Saint Joseph High School in Montvale, New Jersey, before earning football scholarships to Rutgers University. At Rutgers, he earned All-Big East honors and finished his collegiate career with 148 tackles. Despite not being invited to the NFL Combine, he was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
McCourty spent eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans, establishing himself as a dependable starting cornerback. He later played for the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots, with whom he won Super Bowl LIII. He subsequently played for the Miami Dolphins before announcing his retirement in July 2022.
After retiring, McCourty pivoted to broadcasting, joining NFL Network’s Good Morning Football as a co-host in July 2022. When the show relocated to Los Angeles in 2024, he chose not to move his family and departed the programme. He subsequently joined ESPN as a studio analyst — appearing on Get Up, First Take, NFL Live, and SportsCenter — while also taking on a game analyst role with CBS Sports.
