Adams dropped out of college to pursue a career in media. She started as an in-game host for the St. Louis Cardinals and later hosted fantasy football programming on SiriusXM and DirecTV. After several years in these roles, she joined the NFL Network in 2016 as one of the founding co-hosts of Good Morning Football, a daily studio show covering football news, analysis, and lifestyle segments. The role cemented her status as a household name for football fans across the country. 

In 2022, Kay Adams decided to explore new opportunities and launched her own daily program, Up & Adams on FanDuel TV. On the show, she provides in-depth analysis and conducts interviews with top athletes and sports figures. Additionally, she has hosted major entertainment programs like People (the TV show!) and various high-profile live events.
