Arlene Stuart was born on 29 September 1967 in Aberdeen, Scotland. She began her broadcasting career at Grampian Television in 1988 as a staff announcer, reading Grampian Headlines news bulletins and presenting regional programmes including the rural affairs show Country Matters and documentary series The River.
In the mid-1990s Stuart moved to Scottish Television to present the children’s magazine show Wemyss Bay 902101.
She then joined BBC Scotland as an announcer and transmission director, also fronting her own lifestyle show Feeling Good and presenting for BBC Radio Scotland.
She later moved into commercial radio at 1548 Forth 2 and now co-presents Boogie in the Morning, the weekday breakfast show on Forth 1. In 2017 she joined BBC Scotland’s Landward as a reporter, replacing Sarah Mack, and remains one of its current presenters alongside Rosie Morton, Dougie Vipond, Cammy Wilson, and the rest of the team.
