Cammy Wilson was born around 1990 and was raised on a sheep farm; his father was a shepherd. At 18 he left farming to work in the city, eventually joining Police Scotland, where he served as a detective constable for 12 years.

In 2015, after his father’s death, he bought his first sheep and began building his own flock, later launching the YouTube channel “The Sheep Game” in February 2019 to document the journey.

The channel’s growth — now over 150,000 YouTube subscribers and more than a million followers across social platforms — gave him enough income to leave the police force and farm full-time. He joined BBC Scotland Landward in 2022, replacing longtime presenter Euan McIlwraith, and remains a current co-presenter alongside his farming and content work.

Cammy lives with his partner, Lizzy (also referred to as Lizzie in some coverage), and their two sons, Jock (born September 2021) and Angus, on a sheep farm in Ayrshire, southwest Scotland. The family also appears together on a second YouTube channel, “Farming Born & Bred.” His sheepdog, Meg, is a regular on Landward.
