WNBA Showtime is a basketball studio show that premiered on NBC and Peacock in 2026 following NBC Sports’ return as a WNBA media partner. The program accompanies the network’s live game coverage throughout the regular season and playoffs. It serves as the primary studio show for both WNBA Gametime and Sunday Night Basketball, delivering coverage before games, during halftime, after the final buzzer, and between doubleheaders.
Each edition features news from around the league, highlights, player interviews, and analysis of upcoming matchups. The program also breaks down key plays, discusses major storylines, and follows playoff races as the season progresses. During national broadcasts, the studio team helps viewers understand important trends and developments across the WNBA.
The show launched alongside NBC’s new WNBA broadcast package, marking the network’s first league coverage since 2002. Rather than existing as an independent weekly series, it functions as an integrated part of NBC Sports’ live basketball presentation. This format mirrors NBC’s long-running studio coverage for several other major sports.
Maria Taylor serves as the lead host of WNBA Showtime. Alongside Taylor is LaChina Robinson, a former Wake Forest player with over 15 years of basketball broadcasting experience. Joining them in the studio are two Basketball Hall of Famers: Cheryl Miller, a decorated coach and former USC star, and four-time WNBA champion and 13-time All-Star Sue Bird.
Play-by-play duties for NBC’s game broadcasts are handled by Noah Eagle, Michael Grady, and Zora Stephenson. LaChina Robinson also doubles as a game analyst during live broadcasts when she is not in the studio. Courtside reporters Ashley ShahAhmadi, Jordan Cornette, and Caroline Pineda round out the on-site coverage team.
