That Other Pregame Show

Host Adam Schein and a panel of experts deliver comprehensive, fan-focused previews and fantasy updates for Sunday NFL games.

That Other Pregame Show, known as TOPS, launched on CBS Sports Network on September 8, 2013. It served as a companion program to CBS’s flagship pregame show, The NFL Today. The show broke from the traditional pregame format with a fan-focused take on weekly NFL matchups. Over time, it became one of CBS Sports Network’s signature Sunday morning programs.

TOPS aired as a multi-hour counterpart to The NFL Today, previewing matchups and breaking down fantasy implications. The final hour of each broadcast focused on fantasy football, helping viewers set their weekly lineups. Regular contributors included analysts from The NFL Today. The show also incorporated social media interaction throughout each broadcast.

Adam Schein hosted the show from its 2013 debut. Schein and analyst Amy Trask were the only two personalities to remain with the show for its entire run. Over the years, That Other Pregame Show featured a rotating cast of former players and analysts, including Bart Scott, Kyle Long, Thomas Davis, and Jonathan Jones. CBS Mornings co-host Nate Burleson also contributed to the show in its later years.

As part of a restructuring of its NFL studio programming, CBS Sports cancelled TOPS in 2025. It was replaced by a new digital-only Sunday morning show called The NFL Today+, which debuted that fall. The new show currently streams on Paramount+ as well as the CBS Sports YouTube channel.
