Suzy Kolber was born on May 14, 1964, in Dresher, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Upper Dublin High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Miami in 1986. Kolber began her career as a producer and reporter at television stations in Florida. She later worked for NFL Films and several local broadcasters before joining ESPN in 1993 as one of ESPN2’s original anchors.

Kolber spent three years at ESPN before joining Fox Sports in 1996. There, she anchored Fox Sports News and covered NFL broadcasts. She returned to ESPN in 1999 and became one of the network’s leading NFL personalities. During her second stint, she hosted Monday Night Countdown, NFL Live, and NFL Insiders. She also worked as a sideline reporter for Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football. Her ESPN career ended in 2023 after nearly 27 years with the network.

Kolber helped pave the way for women in NFL broadcasting through three decades of national television coverage. She became the first woman to receive the Maxwell Club’s Sports Broadcaster of the Year Award in 2006. Since leaving ESPN, she has maintained a lower public profile while supporting charitable initiatives.
