Robert Irwin was born on December 1, 2003, in Buderim, Queensland, Australia. He is the son of renowned conservationists Steve and Terri Irwin and the younger brother of television personality Bindi Irwin. Raised at Australia Zoo, Robert developed a passion for wildlife from an early age. He was homeschooled to accommodate his conservation work and television commitments.

Irwin made his television debut as a child and soon established himself as a presenter in his own right. He hosted Robert’s Real Life Adventures on Australia Zoo TV. He also appeared on Crikey! It’s the Irwins on Animal Planet, alongside his mother and sister. In 2024, he became the co-host of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Australia, replacing Dr. Chris Brown and joining Julia Morris. 

In 2025, he competed and won Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars with partner Witney Carson. While competing on the franchise, producers approached him to host the spin-off Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, which premiered on ABC in July 2026. In addition to his television work, he remains actively involved in wildlife conservation at Australia Zoo, where he works as a wildlife photographer and brand ambassador.
