Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and began her television career as Olivia Kendall on The Cosby Show in 1989. She subsequently appeared on Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper before becoming a Disney Channel star with That’s So Raven. The series ran from 2003 to 2007 and made her the first Black woman to have a titular comedy show on Disney Channel.

After stepping away from regular television work, Raven-Symoné returned to daytime television as a guest co-host of The View. ABC made her a permanent co-host in June 2015, and she remained on the panel until 2016. She subsequently returned to Disney Channel with Raven’s Home, serving as its star and executive producer while also expanding into directing and other production work.

Raven-Symoné moved further into hosting with Food Network’s Holiday Wars in 2020. In 2024, she became the original host of The CW’s Scrabble, presenting its first season before leaving the hosting role when Craig Ferguson took over in 2026. She remains attached to Scrabble as an executive producer, while continuing to work across acting, directing, producing, and television.
