Matt Iseman is an American television host, comedian, actor, and former physician. He graduated with a BA from Princeton University and later received his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He practiced internal medicine during his internship and residency, but later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a comedian.
He began his career in entertainment by performing stand-up comedy, drawing on his experiences as a doctor. As his profile expanded, he began appearing on TV as an actor and host on programs on networks like E!, Style Network, and GSN. In 2010, he became the host of American Ninja Warrior, which marked his breakthrough in primetime network television.
Iseman continues to host American Ninja Warrior, which airs on NBC. He has led the competition series for more than a decade, with his energetic commentary and rapport with contestants being central to the show’s identity. He is also famous for winning The New Celebrity Apprentice in 2017.
Matt Iseman is married to Britton All, with the couple getting married in September 2024. He is an outspoken health advocate and has been active in raising awareness for arthritis, a condition he suffers from. He is also a cancer survivor and has publicly shared his experience, including having a part of his kidney removed due to cancer.
