Marcus Lemonis was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on November 16, 1973, during the Lebanese Civil War. Shortly after his birth, he was adopted by Leo and Sophia Lemonis, a Greek-American couple from Miami, Florida. He attended Christopher Columbus High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Marquette University. Inspired by his family’s automotive business and entrepreneur Lee Iacocca, Lemonis developed an interest in business at an early age.

After graduating, he worked in the automotive industry before joining AutoNation. He later entered the recreational vehicle business, eventually becoming CEO of Holiday RV Superstores. He later became chairman and CEO of Camping World, leading its transformation into one of North America’s largest RV and outdoor lifestyle retailers before stepping down in 2026. Additionally, he co-owns the intellectual property for the game show Let’s Make a Deal through his joint venture, Marcus/Glass Productions. 

Marcus Lemonis’ national TV profile grew in 2013 when he began hosting CNBC’s The Profit. He has since featured in several other TV shows, including The Partner (CNBC), The Renovator (HGTV), and Streets of Dreams with Marcus Lemonis (CNBC). Currently, Marcus Lemonis hosts The Fixer on FOX, where he advises businesses facing operational and financial challenges.
