Gina Bryce’s date of birth is listed as 11 May 1983. She graduated with a degree in modern languages from Cambridge in 2006, having had a long-life love of racing, and went on to win a place on the Darley Flying Start training course, learning about the industry.

Placements on stud farms and stables in England, Ireland, America, Australia, and the UAE followed, leading to a job at Channel 4 Racing after she graduated from the course in 2008.

She has written freelance for the Racing Post, The Irish Field, and Thoroughbred Owner Breeder magazine, specialising particularly in the bloodstock side of the industry.

She is a regular face on Sky Sports Racing alongside Jason Weaver, Hayley Moore, Matt Chapman and was previously part of the Channel 4 racing team. She also calls races for BBC Radio 5 Live, and in 2025 became the first female commentator of the Grand National in the race’s history, covering a section of the race.
