TMZ Investigates is an American celebrity documentary series that has aired on FOX since 2024. Before becoming a regular series, it was a collection of standalone specials that aired on FOX between 2020 and 2023. Following strong viewership, the network greenlit additional specials, which eventually led to a full series.
The show does not follow a traditional talk or interview format. Instead, each episode serves as a standalone documentary, centered on a single celebrity story or controversy. The show expands on TMZ’s well-known tabloid-style breaking-news coverage by offering deeper, long-form investigations, along with exclusive footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes reporting unavailable to mainstream outlets.
Past episodes have covered the deaths of Lisa Marie Presley and Dominique Dunne, the Kevin Costner divorce, the Princess of Wales controversy, and celebrity legal cases, including the Courtney Clenney murder trial, The Reiner Murders, and The Matthew Perry Investigation.
The series is led by TMZ founder and managing editor Harvey Levin, who serves as host and moderator.
