Project Runway: All Stars

Project Runway: All Stars premiered on Lifetime in 2012 as a spinoff of the long-running Project Runway franchise. The series brought back standout designers from previous seasons to compete again for a prize package that included a fashion spread in Marie Claire and a $100,000 cash prize.

Each season followed a similar format to the original series, with designers competing in weekly challenges judged by fashion industry professionals. Contestants created garments under strict time constraints, culminating in runway presentations evaluated by a panel of judges. The competition awarded the winner a cash prize and industry opportunities.

The series was initially hosted by model Angela Lindvall in season one, followed by Carolyn Murphy in season two, and later by Alyssa Milano from seasons three through seven. Notable judges across the run included Isaac Mizrahi, Georgina Chapman, and guest industry experts.

While Project Runway: All Stars ended its run in 2019, the original show is still airing, though it underwent a major shift, moving to Freeform and Disney+ in 2025. The All Stars format was also revitalized in the original franchise in 2023, when 14 fan-favorite designers from past seasons returned as contestants during Project Runway season 20 to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary.
