Premier League Mornings is an American sports studio programme that launched in August 2013, when NBC Sports replaced Fox Sports and ESPN as the exclusive US broadcaster of the English Premier League. The show airs on weekend mornings during the Premier League season — typically from 7 a.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays. It serves as the pre-match, studio programme for NBC Sports’ live Premier League coverage and transitions to Premier League Live just before kick-off.
Each broadcast covers the day’s Premier League fixtures through a mix of match previews, tactical analysis, live updates, team news, and live look-ins at stadiums. The show also anchors Premier League Mornings Live, an annual two-day fan festival held in a different American city each year, during which Lowe and the panel broadcast live from the event to thousands of fans. Since the first festival in Washington, D.C., in 2018, the show has visited cities such as Chicago, Orlando, and Nashville.
The show’s tone is deliberately authentic to the British football tradition. NBC Sports made a conscious decision at launch not to Americanise its coverage, hiring talent with deep Premier League knowledge and experience. As a result, the programme feels distinctly different from most American sports studio shows, leaning into the culture, terminology, and passion of English football rather than translating it for an unfamiliar audience.
British broadcaster Rebecca Lowe serves as the lead host of Premier League Mornings. She is supported in the hosting role by other NBC studio hosts, including Ahmed Fareed, Paul Burmeister, Cara Banks, and Anna Jackson. The show also features a permanent panel of analysts, including former Wimbledon and Jamaica star Robbie Earle, former Middlesbrough midfielder Robbie Mustoe, and legendary USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard.
