NFL Fantasy Live is an American sports analysis programme that airs on NFL Network and streams on NFL.com and the NFL app during the NFL season. It is the league’s official, dedicated fantasy football show and one of the few programs of its kind on a major American sports network, giving it a unique position in the fantasy football media landscape. The show launched in 2013 and airs up to six days a week during the regular season, ramping up its output as the season progresses and fantasy stakes rise.
Each episode is built around the week’s most pressing fantasy football decisions. The show provides waiver wire recommendations, injury impact analysis, start/sit advice, weekly player projections, and matchup breakdowns across all positions. It also features recurring segments such as “Take It to the Rank,” “Panic or Patience,” “Real or Mirage,” and “Fantasy Stock Report.” The show also integrates NFL Network insiders and reporters — including Ian Rapoport — who provide real-time injury and roster news that directly impacts fantasy decisions.
Patrick Claybon, who joined NFL Network in 2014, serves as the show’s primary anchor — delivering news updates and driving the day’s agenda. Kimmi Chex, one of the youngest on-air talents ever hired by NFL Network and a member of the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 class, serves as a host and contributor across the show. The show’s core analyst team includes Adam Rank, one of the most recognisable fantasy football voices in the industry; Marcas Grant, Michael F. Florio, and Cynthia Frelund.
Earlier versions of the show featured Matt “Money” Smith — a Los Angeles-based sports radio personality who served as a fantasy analyst from 2011 to 2020 — as well as hosts Colleen Wolfe, James Koh, and Akbar Gbajabiamila, all of whom contributed to the show during its earlier seasons. The programme also has a companion podcast — the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast — which is part of the NFL Podcast Network in partnership with iHeartPodcasts, and which features many of the same analysts from the TV show.
