Airing weeknights, NBC Nightly News covers major domestic and global stories, politics, business, health, and international affairs. The weekday edition is currently anchored by Tom Llamas, who took over from Lester Holt in 2025. Llamas, who also hosts the streaming program Top Story, made history as the first Latino to lead a weekday evening network newscast in the U.S. José Díaz-Balart anchors the Saturday edition, and Hallie Jackson anchors the Sunday edition, ensuring consistent coverage throughout the week. It also features contributions from other NBC News personalities, including Al Roker, Kate Snow, Sam Brock, Kristen Welker, Morgan Chesky, Andrea Mitchell, and Tom Costello.
