Katy Tur Reports

Katy Tur Reports is MS NOW’s weekday afternoon news program where anchor Katy Tur covers breaking news, politics, and major stories.

Katy Tur Reports is a premier hard-news program that airs on MS NOW, the rebranded news platform formerly known as MSNBC. It launched in 2017 as MSNBC Live with Katy Tur before being rebranded as Katy Tur Reports in 2021. In 2025, following a major MSNBC lineup overhaul under new network president Rebecca Kutler, the show expanded from one hour to two, airing from 2 to 4 p.m. ET.

The program’s format is designed for flexibility, allowing it to pivot instantly from scheduled political analysis to rolling coverage of major breaking stories. Each episode typically features a mix of “on-the-ground” reporting from correspondents and “The Roundtable,” where Tur leads discussions with a rotating cast of legal experts, historians, and political strategists.

Katy Tur serves as the program’s primary host, bringing her experience as a former foreign correspondent and a lead reporter on the 2016 presidential campaign to the anchor desk. Previously, she was frequently joined by a stable of notable reporters and contributors from NBC programs. However, the show has drastically reduced its reliance on NBC’s talent following MS Now’s spin-off as an independent newsgathering operation.

Beyond the headlines, Katy Tur Reports often highlights cultural and human-interest stories, such as Tur’s recurring segments on maternal health and climate change. As of 2026, it remains a top-rated hour for the network, serving as a critical bridge between the morning news cycle and the high-profile evening newscasts.
