Good Morning Football

A live weekday morning program on NFL Network delivering year-round NFL news, debate, and analysis in a roundtable format.

Good Morning Football — commonly abbreviated as GMFB — is an American daily sports talk program that premiered on NFL Network in 2016. The show quickly distinguished itself from traditional sports talk by blending sharp football analysis with a loose, personality-driven format that gave it a more relaxed, conversational feel — closer in tone to a morning chat show than a conventional sports desk programme. It has since become one of the most recognised daily sports programmes on cable television and a go-to resource for NFL fans, players, and league insiders alike.

It features a “round-table” discussion format, where hosts gather around a breakfast table to break down the latest NFL news, debate the league’s biggest storylines, preview upcoming games, and offer their takes — often contrarian or unconventional — alongside pop culture references and recurring segments.

The show launched with four original hosts — Kyle Brandt, Kay Adams, Nate Burleson, and Peter Schrager. Of the four, only Brandt remains today. Burleson departed in 2021 for CBS Mornings, and Adams left in May 2022 to launch her own show on FanDuel TV. Former NFL cornerback Jason McCourty joined in 2022 to replace Burleson, and Jamie Erdahl came on board the same year to replace Adams.

McCourty then left in 2024 when the show relocated from New York to California. Akbar Gbajabiamila joined for the 2024 season but departed after one year. Peter Schrager, the longest-serving original host after Brandt, left the show in March 2025 after nine seasons. Former NFL linebacker Manti Te’o, who had been a frequent contributor during the 2024 season, was elevated to permanent host for the 2025 season alongside Brandt and Erdahl.

Besides the main hosts, NFL Network insiders Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero, and Ian Rapoport appear regularly throughout the week to deliver breaking news and roster updates. Additionally,  a rotating roster of current and former players and coaches often joins the table as guest contributors.
