Get Up! is an American sports talk morning show that airs weekdays on ESPN. It premiered in 2018, which marked a deliberate programming shift for the network: ESPN moved away from its traditional morning highlight show, SportsCenter, to begin the day with a lively, open discussion featuring multiple points of view.
The program features news, opinion, and analysis from the hosts and guests. It airs live from 8–10 a.m. ET, with reruns (subject to live events or other programming) from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and from 12–2 p.m. ET on ESPNews. A rotating panel of analysts and contributors joins the host, Mike Greenberg, each day to break down the biggest stories across the NFL, NBA, MLB, college sports, and more.
The show launched with three co-hosts but went through notable changes early in its run. Michelle Beadle was one of the original hosts alongside Greenberg and Jalen Rose, but left the program in September 2018 to devote more time to ESPN’s NBA coverage. Laura Rutledge also featured as a host from 2019 to 2020, while Jalen Rose’s run lasted from 2018 to 2019. Over time, the show evolved into a solo-anchor format, with Greenberg at the helm.
The show was originally broadcast from a newly built studio at Pier 17 in New York’s South Street Seaport. In June 2025, it became the first ESPN program to air from the network’s new headquarters at 7 Hudson Square in Lower Manhattan — part of ESPN and The Walt Disney Company’s broader consolidation of their New York operations.
Before Get Up!, Greenberg co-hosted the Mike & Mike radio show with Mike Golic, leaving in November 2017 after an 18-year run together. Dan Graziano regularly fills in as host when Greenberg is away.
