Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives premiered on Food Network on April 23, 2007. Hosted by Guy Fieri, the series follows Fieri as he travels across the United States in his signature red Chevrolet Camaro to visit independently owned eateries.

Each episode typically features two to three restaurants, highlighting their signature dishes, cooking techniques, and backstories. Fieri interviews chefs and owners, steps into the kitchen to observe preparation methods, and samples featured menu items. The focus is on comfort food, regional specialties, and creative twists on classic American fare.

Since the show began, Fieri has visited nearly 500 cities, every single U.S. state, and even across the border into Canada, the UK, Italy, Puerto Rico, and beyond. The program has helped bring national attention to many small businesses and has influenced food tourism, with viewers often seeking out featured locations.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has aired for more than 40 seasons and produced hundreds of episodes, making it one of Food Network’s most enduring franchises. Its informal, personality-driven style and emphasis on authentic local flavor have defined its identity within culinary television.
