Dateline

Dateline NBC is a weekly television newsmagazine primarily dedicated to investigative journalism and true crime mysteries. Each episode features detailed reporting on criminal trials, missing persons cases, and groundbreaking undercover stings. The program uses a narrative style that emphasizes emotional depth and high-stakes drama. 

The series is produced by NBC News and has remained a consistent presence on the network for more than three decades.  It is also broadcast on Telemundo and available for 24/7 streaming on Peacock, Roku, and other digital platforms.

Lester Holt is Dateline’s primary anchor. The show also features Andrea Canning as a correspondent and syndication host, José Díaz-Balart as host of Telemundo’s Spanish edition, and contributing anchors including Craig Melvin, Kate Snow, and Meredith Vieira. 

Dateline premiered in 1992, with Jane Pauley and Stone Phillips as the inaugural co-anchors. Legendary journalists such as Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric have also anchored various editions over the years. This group of respected news professionals has helped cement the show’s reputation for journalistic integrity.
