Chef Grudge Match

Rival culinary professionals settle real-life personal and business feuds in high-stakes, head-to-head cooking battles.

Chef Grudge Match is an American culinary competition show that premiered on Food Network on August 12, 2025. It is a rebranded continuation of Superchef Grudge Match, which ran for two seasons from 2023 to 2024. The rebooted series retained the same core concept, but under a new name and a new host.

The series features two rival chefs with a grudge competing in head-to-head cook-off challenges. The grudges can be personal or professional, with rivals including a former boss and an employee, competing restaurateurs, recipe rivals, or even married couples. Both chefs cook simultaneously in a single round, with the dishes evaluated through a blind taste test by a panel of two judges.

The loser forfeits their most coveted knife from their personal knife roll to the winner, along with the $10,000 cash prize. The format is staged in front of a live studio audience with the energy of a boxing match, complete with ring entrances and round bells.

Laila Ali, an undefeated five-time boxing world champion and 2022 International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee, hosts the series. She is also a two-time Chopped champion and a familiar face on Food Network, having previously guest-hosted Beat Bobby Flay

The judging panel features Jet Tila as the show’s resident judge. She is joined each week by a rotating guest judge. Some of the notable guest judges have included Eric Adjepong, Maneet Chauhan, Adrienne Cheatham, Tiffani Faison, Stephanie Izard, Eddie Jackson, Chris Oh, and Claudette Zepeda.
