Tracy Wolfson was born on March 17, 1975, and grew up in Congers, New York. She was inspired to pursue broadcasting after watching Ahmad Rashad and Willow Bay on NBA Inside Stuff. She attended the University of Michigan, where she was a cheerleader and worked for the university’s Athletic Department, coordinating events. 

Wolfson joined CBS Sports in 1997 as a researcher, before launching her on-air career at WZBN-TV in Trenton, New Jersey. She also worked for Oxygen Sports, Long Island News Tonight, News-12 Long Island, and MSG Network. From 2002 to 2003, she covered college football, U.S. Open Golf, and Arena Football for ESPN. She then returned to CBS Sports in 2004 as the lead sideline reporter for the SEC on CBS. 

In May 2014, CBS named Wolfson the lead sideline reporter for the NFL on CBS. She has since worked five Super Bowls, AFC playoff games, and every Final Four since 2008. She has also reported for Turner Sports’ NBA on TNT during select playoff games. Additionally, she has served as a host on We Need to Talk, CBS’s groundbreaking all-female sports studio show.
