Thomas Kerridge was born on 27 July 1973 in Salisbury, England, and was raised in Gloucester after his parents divorced when he was 11. He attended Saintbridge Secondary School, helping raise his younger brother while his mother worked several jobs.
Inspired by Marco Pierre White’s cookbook White Heat, Kerridge trained at catering college in Cheltenham and began his career as a commis chef at Calcot Manor in 1991, later working under chefs including Philip Britten and Gary Rhodes.
In 2005, Kerridge and his wife Beth Cullen-Kerridge opened The Hand & Flowers gastropub in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, which became the first pub ever to hold two Michelin stars (2006 and 2012).
He has co-presented Food and Drink on BBC Two, sat on the panel judge on the Great British Menu show, and from 2015 and hosted the eight-part BBC Two series The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge. He lives in Marlow with Beth and their son, Acey.
